Product Description :
STANROSE® EPO SL
is is a three-part self-levelling epoxy
screed based on carefully selected solvent less Epoxy resin
composition. It is a four component system consisting of base,
hardener colour concentrate and formulated aggregates. It is a
self levelling composition and forms a very smooth, attractive
hygienic, hard wearing and chemical resistant floor topping.
Area of Application :
Where a requirement for a smooth monolithic surface with good
resistance to traffic and corrosive liquids exists, e.g. food,
chemical and paper industries.
Application Guidelines :
1. Surface preparation
Surfaces to be coated must be dust free as well as completely dry
and free of all curing agents.
2. Priming
Mix Verni-MP Primer Part A and B thoroughly and apply as per
technical data sheet.
3. Application
Using a mechanical mixer, mix Supaflor-EPO SL until a uniform
consistency is obtained. Spread the product evenly with a 4mm or
6mm notched trowel followed by a spiked roller to produce the
final finish.

Surface Preperation :
The long term
durability of the applied STANROSE® EPO SL topping is
dependent upon the adhesive bond achieved between the flooring
material and substrate. It is most important therefore, that
substrate surface is correctly prepared prior to application.
1.
Concrete or
cementitious substrates should have a moisture content of less
than 5% before topping with STANROSE® EPO SL.
2.
Before
application, the surface to be coated should be free from loose
particles, rust, oils, grease or earlier coatings and should be
thoroughly dry.
3.
After surface is
dry, all repair work like sealing of joints, cracks filling of
cavities and crevices should be carried out.
1. PRIMING :
For use over a concrete surface, STANROSE PRIME PS primer is
recommended depending on substrate condition to ensure maximum
product performance.
2. MIXING:
Pack components are pre-weighed for optimum performance. Never
split packs.
Empty contents of Base into a mixing container. Add Curing Agent
and continue to mix to a uniform consistency for 1-2 minutes. Add
pigment and mix for 1 minutes and finally add the quantity of
aggregates supplied and mix for 1-2 minutes. Mix with slow speed
drill and helical spinner head for 2 minutes. Avoid high speed
mixing that will entrain air into the mix.
3. TOP COAT:
Spread the mixture on the floor immediately to the required
thickness by means of rollers and serrated trowels. The floor
should be rolled by a spike roller to remove trapped air. The
floor shall self level to uniform colour and smoothness.
Packaging :
STANROSE EPO SL is supplied in pre-weighed packs for easy
handling. Each pack consists of :

Handling & Safety :
Take normal precautions to avoid skin contact. Provide well
ventilated conditions or use suitable respiratory protection. Wash
thoroughly with a suitable resin removing cream. Any areas where
product comes into contact with skin followed by washing with soap
and water. Splashes in the eyes should be well flushed out at
least 10 minutes with water or a proprietary eye wash and medical
attention sought. This product is flammable and should be kept
away from sparks and naked flames. Smoking is strictly prohibited
as product is flammable.
