Polyurethane: Starothane SL 1000
Product Description: Starothane SL 1000 is a two component PU flooring system preferred over the conventional epoxy floorings, because of its superior physical and mechanical properties. Starothane SL 1000 is a solvent free, flexible urethane self levelling system designed to provide an extremely abrasion resistant and resilient floor topping. Starothane SL 1000 is generally applied at a thickness of1 – 3mm

Hard dry : 24 hrs
Shelf life : 6 months in the un-opened container
Direction of USe :
Ensure that CDS (Clean, Dry and Sound) test is conducted on the concrete. Surface preparation
like scarification, grinding or shot blasting is done to achieve a surface profile of 150-200 microns. Apply
primer and allow to cure for 6-7 hours. Mixing ratio of Starothane sl 1000 is 2.5 parts of resin to 1 part of hardener by weight. For thickness of more than 2 mm, formulated aggregate SS P 80 is added to the mix in the ratio of 2.5:1:1. Working with Starothane sl 1000 necessitates thorough mixing of the two components. Using a whirl attachment clamped in an
electric drill, the components are stirred thoroughly. Care is taken to ensure that the air is not being driven
into the system. The size per batch should not be more than 7 kgs. Starothane sl 1000 is applied by notched
trowel to the specified thickness. For levelling and de-aeration, spike rollers are used. Allow to cure for 6
hours. Ensure that the coated area is protected from air borne contaminants for a minimum 6 hours and foot or
vehicular trafficking for a minimum 24 hours.
Direction of USe :
The product should be stored in accordance with national regulations. It should be kept in a cool, well
ventilated area, away from heat, direct sunlight, sparks and children. It contains inflammable solvents. Handle with care.
Mix resin and hardener as per the ratio. Use the mix solution within the pot life time.
Health and safety precautions
Observe reasonable care and employ ordinary hygienic principles such as washing the hands with soap and water before eating or smoking. It is recommended to wear gloves, goggles and nose masks while application.
Incase of splashes
on the skin, dampen the cloth with thinner and wipe the hands with the cloth. Wash then with soap and water. Dried film is non toxic.
