Staro Polyurea Hybrid Polyurea (waterproofing)
Product Description :Staro Polyurea is recommended for use in areas such as tank linings, water and waste water facilities, floor and deck coatings. Staro Polyurea is a 100%, fluid applied, hybrid polyurea in extended set version so as to apply the system by brush. It cures within 20 minutes to provide a tough, chemical and abrasion resistant coating.Though Staro Polyurea cures slowly in the initial stages, it reaches the optimum properties of a standard polyurea coating once the cross linking is fully achieved.

Direction of Use:
New concrete : 28 days curing at ambient temperature is a pre requisite for any coating
application. Adopt suitable surface preparation methods so as to achieve the surface profile of
150-200 microns.
Old concrete : Remove laitance and contamination by abrasive blasting. Concrete must be free
of voids, bug holes, honey combs and de-laminations.
Steel Surfaces : Prepare the steel surface , near white metal blasting.
Polyurea coated surfaces: If the surface is less than 3 days old, wipe with Acetone or MEK. If
it is aged for more than 3 days, roughen the surface with abrasive sanding and then solvent
wipe with acetone or MEK.
Application Prime the surface, Allow to cure for max 5-6 hours. If the time is lapsed for more than 24 hours, abrade the primed surface to have mechanical key. Mix the resin and hardener in 3:1 by weight. Apply by brush, roller or squeegee. Allow to cure.
Packaging: Packed in 20 kg packs and It has a shelf life of 6 months in the unopened containers.
Storage and Handling:
The product should be stored in accordance with national regulations. It should be kept in a
cool, well ventilated area, away from heat, direct sunlight, sparks and children. Handle with
care. Mix resin and hardener as per the recommended ratio. Use the mix solution within the pot
life time.
Health and Safety Precautions
Observe reasonable care and employ ordinary hygienic principles such as washing the hands
with soap and water before eating or smoking. It is recommended to wear gloves, goggles and
nose masks while application. In case of splashes on the skin, dampen the cloth with thinner
