Starocrete 1000 Scratch Coat: PU Scratch Coat 1mm thickness

Product Description: Starocrete 1000 Scratch Coat is a specially developed, selfpriming PU-Concrete flooring based on waterborne polyurethane and concrete technology, recommended as scratch coat for all of Starocrete flooring systems. Staroscratch is a four component pre-weighed system comprising of resin, hardener, colour pack and reactive aggregates which on uniform mixing form a well adhered layer on concrete floors. It is usually applied in 1 mm thickness.

Uses:
It is applied to a well prepared concrete substrate before Starocrete topcoat is laid. It forms a very strong bond with concrete and being a thicker coating, it reduces the porosity of the concrete slabs, thereby eliminating blisters due to the displaced air from the concrete.

Direction to use
Ensure that Clean, Dry and Sound test is conducted on the concrete. Surface preparation like grinding or shot blasting is done to achieve a surface profile of 150-200 microns. Staroscratch 1000 is a priming screed which contains resin, hardener, colour and aggregates. To a mixing bowl, unpack all the contents of the pack and start agitation for a minute, Apply the screed as scratch coat to a thickness of 1mm by a notched trowel. The standard kit will cover an area of 10 sqm @1mm thickness.

Note: Staroscratch 1000 has a very short pot life and hence mixing, laying and de-aeration should be done very swiftly. Application should be avoided when the temperature is very high. Do not store materials under direct sunlight or in open areas.

Packaging Available in pre-weighed kits containing resin, hardener and reactive aggregates. It has a maximum shelf life of 12 months in the unopened containers.
